Syracuse, N.Y. (NCC News) — This year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be a Norway Spruce from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

This 74-foot, 11-ton tree from the Berkshires is the first Rockefeller Christmas Tree from Massachusetts since 1959. It was donated to Rockefeller Center by the Albert family. The Center’s head gardener, Erik Pauze, noticed the tree while driving through Massachusetts in 2020 and asked the Alberts if they would consider giving it up for the ceremony.

The tree will be cut down on November 7th, ceremonially lit on December 4th and taken down in mid-January.
