Father and son bring their expertise from the Big Apple.

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (NCC News)— Claudio Bueti Sr. has been around the pizza industry for most of his life. He started back in 1973, when his family immigrated to Brooklyn, after growing up in Calabria, Italy.

Over the past four decades, Bueti Sr. has owned and operated six different pizzerias in New York City. Him and his son Claudio “C.J.” Bueti Jr. opened Il Limone in Liverpool where the two share ownership.

Bueti Sr. moved up to Central New York to stay close and connected with family as his daughter is an elementary school teacher in the area. Bueti Sr. and his wife Antonella also have their grandchildren around in the restaurant as much as possible.

Everything served on the menu is fresh at the restaurant. The Bueti’s family recipes have been passed down generations and are now feeding many Central New York residents.

“Our clientele is wonderful,” Bueti’s daughter Antonia said about the CNY regulars. “We just feel very blessed…We are able to make such great connections with the community.”

For C.J. cooking did not come easy.

“It wasn’t something I initially thought I was gonna go through but over the years I kind of found an appreciation and a love for it,” the younger Bueti said. “It’s something that eventually I learned how to make.”

C.J.’s signature chicken parm pizza is now a fan favorite at the restaurant.

“We grew up with two very different styles but what brings us together is this,” C.J. said about working with his father at Il Limone.
