SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) – Burger lovers, it’s time to make your voice heard! The New York Beef Council (NYBC) has officially opened voting for the 9th Annual Best NY Burger Competition. From March 19 to April 11, 2025, you can vote for your favorite restaurant and help decide which spot serves the best 100% beef burger in the state. Throughout the state of New York, 62 restaurants are in the running.

Several restaurants in the Syracuse area are vying for a place in the Top 10, including: Ale ‘n’ Angus, Syracuse, Angry Garlic, Baldwinsville, Bear Creek, Brewerton, Blarney Stone, Syracuse, Brewer Union, Brewerton, Craftsman Wood Grille & Tap House, Fayetteville, Get Smashed, Syracuse, Heritage Hill Brewery, Pompey, Jake’s Grub & Grob, Brewerton, Pond Pit BBQ, Sandy Creek, Talking Cursive Brewing, Syracuse. 

Ale ‘n’ Angus Pub is a local powerhouse in this competition, having claimed the title seven of the last eight years. Can they keep their streak alive? That’s up to the voters!

How the Competition Works: After voting closes on April 11th, the Top 10 finalists will be announced on April 14th. A panel of anonymous judges will then evaluate the finalists based on taste, presentation, and overall experience. The ultimate winner will be crowned on May 12, 2025, at the State Capitol during May Beef Month.
