The Vera House is preparing for Domestic Violence Awareness month by hosting panels throughout the month about the issue.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — The Vera House of Syracuse is preparing for the month of October through planning a litany of initiatives to bring awareness to domestic and sexual violence in central New York.
October is domestic violence awareness month, and the Vera House has acted as a safe haven since 2005.
During the busy month, the Vera House is planning on having talks with the community, including a panel later in the month hosted by Syracuse University.
