The hospital also re-introduced in-person programs to its patients.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Upstate Cancer Center held its Fall Festival health fair and reintroduced in-person health programs for their patients.

It featured representatives from various support services including nutrition, financial counseling, survivorship, and spiritual care.

Chris Benton, the social media and event coordinator, said it was an opportunity to give patients an opportunity to learn more.

“We find it to be very helpful that patients learn about new services that they may not have known prior,” she said. “Just a variety of supportive services that can help the patient as a whole.”

These complementary services are an important part of cancer treatment and received strong feedback from patients.

The next Upstate Cancer Center health fair will be held in the Spring.
