SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) – A dog stuck on a log dam in Oneida is now safe, thanks to the quick response from the Oneida Fire Department and local police.

The Oneida Police Department responded to the call regarding the dog and brought in the fire department for assistance.

When firefighters arrived, they received a briefing from Oneida Police Sergeant Mosack and the dog’s owners. Firefighter Dan Moyer suited up with rescue gear and carefully made his way onto the logs.

Moyer successfully reached the dog and brought it back to safety. The pet was unharmed and was soon reunited with its owners.
