Jazaleen Salinas: The 35th Wegmans Lights on the Lake will return this evening to illuminate the Onondaga Lake park in Liverpool, New York. Galaxy Media Events marketing specialist, Brittany Capparelli, says new additions will kick off the holiday cheer.

Brittney Capparelli: We’re bringing back the run and the walks by popular demand from the community. We heard everyone, and we definitely wanted to go ahead and bring that back and responses have been great.

Salinas: Along with the early-morning 5k walk that will allow participants to see the lights at sunrise this Saturday. Capparelli encourages visitors to also support local charities this week, with all ticket sales being donated to four organizations within the community.

Capparelli: For 35 years we’ve been able to give back to the communities and we’ve raised over $15,000 for charity last year. And we donated hundreds of toys from our toy drive to the Upstate Golisano Children Hospital.
