POULSBO, Wash. (NCC News) — A woman in Washington state had to call the authorities for help after not being able to get into her home. It turns out there were hundreds of hungry raccoons surrounding her home.

The woman who lives at the house has been leaving food out for the raccoons since the 1980s, she told the authorities.

Trapping and relocating them will cost the woman $500 per raccoon. It’s reccomened that wild animals shouldn’t be fed, so scenarios like this don’t happen.

The homeowner was referred to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to find a solution to this furry friend problem.
