SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Cake mix cookies are something that I have been making since I was a little kid. They are something I often make for friends, and my colleagues at NCC New were no exception. So many people love these cookies, so I figured it was time to finally share my secrets on how to make one variety of cake mix cookies, snickerdoodles.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of boxed white cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat your over to 375 degrees.
- Combine eggs, vegetable oil, and cake mix in a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until well blended.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon on a plate and mix with a spoon. Form one inch balls of cookie dough and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and then place on the lined baking sheet.
- Bake cookies for a maximum of 12-13 minutes. Cookies will look under baked when they come out of the oven, but they are not. This is just how they look due to their cake-like consistency.
- Allow cookies to cool and enjoy!
