Deion Sanders tells Fran Brown to, “Take care of all the little things.”
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Fran Brown receives advice from Deion Sanders before matchup with No. 19 Pittsburgh

Fran Brown: I had a good call the other day with Coach Prime, he texted me, actually. He told me, “Take care of all the little things, don’t allow them to become big things.” You know, so I’m just making sure I’m doing that, and just, like, focusing on the players, and, just, consistently, like, we’re still installing a culture here, we’re putting the culture into place. So, we’re just trying to focus on things daily, lock in, and then we’re gonna try to make sure that we’re ready to compete, though, on Thursday night.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — At the weekly Syracuse Football press conference on Monday, SU head coach Fran Brown fielded questions before Thursday’s game against Pittsburgh. Both teams are coming off of bye weeks, and Brown was asked about what the Orange did over the break to prepare. The head coach did not go into specifics, but said he got some advice from a contemporary of his, Colorado head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.

“I had a good (text conversation) the other day with Coach Prime. He told me, ‘Take care of all the little things, don’t allow them to become big things.’ I’m just making sure I’m doing that and focusing on the players. We’re still installing a culture here, we’re putting the culture into place. So, we’re just trying to focus on things daily, lock in, and then we’re gonna try to make sure that we’re ready to compete on Thursday night.”

Brown and Sanders are two of the more successful coaches in the country this season. Syracuse is five and one, while Colorado is five and two. But Brown’s next opponent, number 19 Pittsburgh, is undefeated with six wins.
