SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) Over the past two years, Farm Girl Juicery, an organization dedicated to providing education and accessibility to healthy food options, has begun leaving its mark on Syracuse. Farm Girl Juicery which is located in Salt City Market has been hosting educational cooking workshops every Wednesday to educate those that are interested on how natural produce can be used to make delicious family meals.
Alexis, a current employer, when asked what makes her happy to be about of Farm Girl Juicery, stated
“I love the baseline for Farm Girl incorporating fresh foods and making them accessible to people. It feels really in alignment with my life”.
For many people the mission and purpose that Farm Girl stands for is what attracts them to purchase their first meal but after tasting the food, it is the ingredients that makes them loyal customers.
Abigail Henson, the ceo and founder of Farm Girl Juicery, stated that aside from the mission that the company serves what she loves most is “the silence and solitude I have when I am in my kitchen and I am able to give the fruits and vegetables my full appreciation, I feel like they are in themselves pieces of art”. For Abigail Farm Girl Juicery is much more than a restaurant but a community and culture.
At Salt City Market Farm Girl Juicery is making a difference in the lives of residence class by class. If you are ever in the Syracuse area you are encouraged to stop by.
