SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) — Peak foliage is set to arrive throughout parts of Central New York, including most of the Adirondacks and many parts of the Catskills. Meanwhile, leaves in other parts of the state will generally range from just changing to midpoint of change.

This is part of the fourth annual I LOVE NY Fall Foliage Report, which is a week-long activity where more than 85 volunteers observe the color conditions of leaves across the state.

In case you are curious, here are some numbers from various areas in CNY:

If you’re in Madison County, there was a 15% change with early shades of yellow and orange.

In Montgomery County, there was a 35% foliage change with mostly red and yellow leaves.

While in Oneida County, there’s been a 50% transition with varying shades of red, yellow and brown.

According to the group Explore Fall, the foliage season is expected to hit its colorful peak in mid-October and end by Nov. 10.
