States like Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas could see highs in the 80s later this week, with projected temperatures in major cities on Tuesday have Houston at 85 degrees, 80 degrees in Atlanta, 84 degrees in Memphis, and 75 in Washington, D.C.
Wednesday’s highs have temperatures potentially over 90 degrees on the Texas/Mexico border, 83 in Jacksonville, 80 in Raleigh, 83 in Jackson, MS, and 82 in St. Louis. Cities in Florida are expected to see sustained heat throughout the week, with temps in the 80s throughout the duration of the week.
Normal temperatures in this area of the country consist of highs in the 60s and 70s in the Southeastern United States, and those numbers decrease in Northern locations throughout the country.
