LAFAYETTE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Beak & Skiff has been named the top apple orchard in the country for the fifth consecutive year, according to USA Today.
USA Today readers determined the Top 10 orchards in the country by making their selections from a list of 20 created by a panel of experts.
Beak & Skiff has been one of the most popular places to pick apples in Central New York since it opened for business in 1911. Dairy farmer Andrew Beak and onion farmer George Skiff met at a farmers market that year and decided to join forces to create, what is now known as, Beak & Skiff.
The juicy debate over which apple is the best has finally come to a close, as NCC News’ X poll revealed that Honeycrisp apples are the clear winner.
There are plenty of Honeycrisp apples at Beak & Skiff, which is currently open for apple picking seven days a week.
