CLAY, N.Y. — Voters who headed to Clay Town Hall to cast their ballot on Election Day often found short lines. Many were able to get in and vote in about 10 minutes.
One of the voters at the site said participating and voting is what involves you in the process.
“If you don’t speak up, then you can’t complain,” said Henry Lambert, one of the voters at Clay Town Hall.
Lambert said he has been voting since he was 18 years old. This year, the economy and immigration are two of the more important issues, he said. Lambert said he values both the local part of the election, as well as the presidential part.
“It’s not just important to vote for the country, it’s your neighborhood,” Lambert said.
