Timmy Wilcox: Three Lives in Armory Square may look like any other bar from the outside, but the inside is filled with games. The restaurant, bar and arcade opened in 2020 and bartender Nick Miller says it’s been inclusive to the Syracuse community.

Nick Miller: I feel like that immediacy, the moment you walk in and see all these. I think that makes a huge difference in people being welcomed here.

Wilcox: While serving as a fun spot, Three Lives recently hosted a Dungeon and Dragons night that supported a crucial cause. The game night kicked off Three Lives’ community efforts during its busy month of December.

Wilcox: Events by Three Lives have already made a difference out here in the Syracuse community. Dec. 3’s Dungeons and Donations event has already raised over $3,100, well on its goal of reaching $3,500 for the Food Bank of Central New York.

Wilcox: Three Lives manager Madison Napoli said its events always create a light atmosphere. Customers have the chance to play games while enjoying drinks such as this one called Maximum Health, their most popular drink.

Madison Napoli: It’s nice to see people get together, do something they love and be able to raise money for a good cause in the process which is always awesome.

Miller: There always is this wholesome, warm energy from this place generally speaking. That is when we feel that energy at its apex.

Wilcox: Three Lives hosts brunch every Sunday, but Dec. 15, it’s holding a special pancake brunch and toy drive. The restaurant is offering a discount on pancakes if you donate a toy. Last year, the drive was able to fill multiple boxes.

Napoli: I don’t know if it’s the environment or what, but we attract a lot of really really good people and genuine people who want to help the community and it’s nice that Three Lives is able to create a leeway for those people to be able to do that.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Three Lives opened in Armory Square in 2020 as a restaurant, bar and arcade. But as the holiday season approaches, the restaurant is hosting fun events to raise support for the community.

On Dec. 3, Three Lives hosted Dungeons and Donations night, allowing customers to play Dungeons and Dragons while raising money for the Food Bank of Central New York. So far, the event has raised over $3,100 and is on pace to reach its goal of $3,500.

Three Lives manager Madison Napoli said the restaurant’s atmosphere makes it a welcoming place to the community. Customers can enjoy drinks such as one called Maximum Health, while playing their favorite games.

“Who doesn’t want to come to a bar and hang out and play video games and meet new people and it’s just fun, it’s a fun vibe,” Napoli said.

The restaurant worked with Cory Lawson and Mike Spuches of Dungeons and Donations to host the event. Some customers wore special outfits while they came together to play.

“There always is this wholesome, warm energy from this place generally speaking,” Three Lives bartender Nick Miller said. “That is when we feel that energy at its apex.”

Coming up on Dec. 15, Three Lives is holding a pancake brunch. Unlike its usual Sunday brunches, this annual event coincides with a toy drive. Last year, Three Lives helped fill multiple boxes of donated toys.

“I don’t know if it’s the environment or what, but we attract a lot of really really good people and genuine people who want to help the community and it’s nice that Three Lives is able to create a leeway for those people to be able to do that,” Napoli said.

Napoli sees that Three Lives is making a difference in Syracuse.

“It’s nice to see people get together, do something they love and be able to raise money for a good cause in the process which is always awesome.”
