Video Transcript: Second-ever Syracuse Inner Harbor Fest entertains and supports the community

ALEX REMOLL: The second-ever Syracuse Inner Harbor Fest took place on Friday and Saturday. The festival featured carnival rides for both kids and adults, fair food, food trucks, live music and more. OMF Events put this all together, and it wasn’t easy, according to Director of Operations Matt Larson.

MATT LARSON: It takes a lot of planning, a lot of planning. Months and months of planning, and organizing, and linking up with all of our special vendors, food vendors, music. It takes months of planning.

REMOLL: The proceeds from Inner Harbor Fest go to Clear Path for Veterans, a group that supports veterans and their families, and the Baldwin Fund, an organization that helps prevent and treat breast cancer. But what draws people and donations in most?

LARSON: Everybody loves the food. The food, the food, the food. Everyone loves the food. I mean, they can’t get enough of the food.

REMOLL: One food vendor at the festival is Birria QuesaTacos SYR, a local Mexican food truck. Owner Candelaria Cibrian does not regret setting up on the Inner Harbor.

CANDELARIA CIBRIAN: I mean, it’s been a great event. They’ve been great, everything I’ve needed, they’ve helped me with, even pulling in my trailer because I was a little nervous. They helped me with everything. Everything they said they were gonna do, they did. And it’s been a great event, we’ve got great crowds, people love the food, love the different types of food they have here. They did a great job.
