SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS)- As Thanksgiving approaches, families in Central New York are preparing to gather around the table to share meals and make memories.

For many, the centerpiece of that meal is a turkey, and at Cobblestone Valley Farm, located just 30 minutes south of Syracuse, the Knapp family is working hard to provide sustainably raised, organic turkeys for the holiday season.

Cobblestone Valley Farm has a rich history, spanning five generations of Knapps who have dedicated their lives to sustainable farming.

Established in 1886, the farm began with cows, cabbage, and potatoes. Over the years, it has grown to include a wider range of livestock, now producing beef, pork, chicken, and, of course, turkey.

For the last 25 years, Cobblestone Valley has been certified organic, ensuring that everything they produce is free from pesticides, GMOs, and antibiotics. This commitment allows them to provide their customers with some of the healthiest and cleanest food options available.

“We don’t spray any pesticides or any chemicals on our fields, none of our animals eats anything that contains GMOs or antibiotics” says Casey Knapp. “When you are having that turkey for Thanksgiving or drinking milk from our farm you know that it is completely clean and healthy and the best thing for you.”

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times of the year for Cobblestone Valley Farm. They prepare to meet the demand for turkeys, ensuring that families across Central New York can enjoy a holiday meal that aligns with their values of natural and sustainable living.

The Knapps take pride in being able to bring this peace of mind to their community, especially as more people look for food that’s raised and produced responsibly.

“Turkey is always my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal,” Casey Knapp shares. “I love the stuffing, and pumpkin pie with a lot of whipped cream it’s the perfect ending to the holiday.”

As the holiday season arrives, Cobblestone Valley Farm reminds us all of the value of knowing where our food comes from. For families looking to make conscious food choices, the Knapps offer a local, sustainable solution.
