SYRACUSE, N.Y.(NCC NEWS)– Clinton Square’s tree lighting happened just this past weekend, and with that the Syracuse holiday festivities have begun. Clinton Square is home to an ice skating rink downtown. However, it brought more meaning to Central New York resident Eleanor Rhinehart.
Rhinehart is the founder of Lake Town Love where she posts her original design options for customization. She wants customers to be able to take a bit of CNY with them wherever they go.
“The whole idea is sort of like a home away from home vibe”
Rhinehart has a selection of Clinton Square designs which show people enjoying the rink. Rhinehart says, “even just driving around and being able to see it is so charming but definitely if you have been with friends or family then you have the actual experience which I think is really special”
Clinton Square reminds her of her Central New York roots. Syracuse University figure skate Kelsey Leary enjoys her time on the ice downtown too. Leary says it is a little too busy for her to do anything big tricks.
“Ya it’s honestly really gorgeous. Sometimes it gets a little crowded so I try not to do anything crazy but maybe I’ll throw in like a spin or two”
Rhinehart creates all of her prints using her iPad. She is just happy the prints are “like a little piece of home”.
