NARRATOR: AIELLO HAD SEEMED JUST AS HAPPY CASTING THIS VOTE AS HER FIRST ONE. YET WHEN ASKED IF THIS EXECUTION WAS AS EXCITING AS HERE FIRST ONE IT WAS A COMPASSIONATE “NO.”TO HER THIS ELECTION WAS DIFFERENT.
JUDI AIELLO: “SAME WITH MY DAUGHTER. I AM FOR EVERY WOMAN IN THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE IF THEY NEED THE PROPER MEDICAL ATTENTION THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE TO GO ELSEWHERE”
NARRATOR: THE VOTERS IN FAYETTEVILLE CAME IN DROVES, TO VOTE AT THE POLLSREPORTING ON WHAT MAY BE THE BRIGHTEST DAY IN NOVEMBER KYE’L TORAIN NCC NEWS.
Fayetteville, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) — Fayetteville Free Library saw more than the casual library come and go-er. Today the library saw a consistent amount of voters eager to cast their ballot. With so many voters ranging from young to old and first time voters to consistent contributors. The warmest day of November seems to bring people out or maybe it was the residents of Fayetteville because this election meant too much to just stay inside.
“This one is exceptionally special. Because I have a daughter. I have a granddaughter, and I know what I went through in childbirth, and same with my daughter.”- Fayetteville voter Judi Aiello
Aiello hasn’t skipped a single election or missed a vote since she was 18. Now at 73 years-old she arrives to vote with the same enthusiasm as she did when she was younger. The difference for this election is that now Aiello has a daughter and a granddaughter which motivates her to vote in this election.
“I am for every woman in this country. Because if they need the proper medical attention, they shouldn’t have to go elsewhere.”- Fayetteville voter Judi Aiello.
Aiello, just like many other Fayetteville voters, was driven to vote at the polls by something or someone. On a warm day that will soon be rare, Fayetteville Free Library welcomed everyone looking to exercise their right to vote and it’s fitting that the day that many American citizens look to take part in our democracy is the brightest day of November.
